Definition : Longboard

Dernière mise à jour le 4 August 2024

Definition: Longboards are the original long surfboards (over 7 feet). Long and wide, they offer better balance and speed on certain types of soft waves.

Elles sont cependant difficiles à tourner, il faut passer de l’avant à l’arrière régulièrement pour prendre de la vitesse ou manoeuvrer.

A longboard can still be manoeuvrable if the board's construction is light (fibre, foam pad and resin), and if the tail est affiné et que le surfeur se positionne à l’arrière de la planche.

C’est donc une très good board for starting outbut not only.
